Northside is ranked highly in their home state and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Geneseo. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Maple Leafs 4-2. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Northside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Billings, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Claire Jones was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Northside hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 20 consecutive games.

Northside's win bumped their record up to 16-4-1. As for Geneseo, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Northside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-7 victory against Battle Ground Academy on the 18th. As for Geneseo, they will square off against Sherrard at 4:30 p.m. on the 26th.
