Academy of Our Lady of Peace had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Coronado Islanders by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Pilots, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-18.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Coronado, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-3.

Coincidentally, Academy of Our Lady of Peace and Coronado will both be playing Scripps Ranch the next time they take the court. The Pilots will head out to face the Falcons at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Islanders will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
