Basketball Recap: Orestimba Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Orestimba had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Liberty Ranch Hawks 66-25 on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Liberty Ranch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Wilks, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Derek Nelson, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Orestimba didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-49 loss against Mariposa County on the 24th. As for Liberty Ranch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ponderosa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
