Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tabernacle). They walked away with a 68-58 victory over the Brooklane Baptist Eagles on Tuesday. While the Torches didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tabernacle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tucker Andrews out in front who posted 21 points. Roman Harris was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Tabernacle's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Brooklane Baptist, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Tabernacle will take on Providence Classical at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Torches' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Brooklane Baptist, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on First Assembly Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 5.
