Soccer Recap: Sanger Find Success

Sanger was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Pilot Point Bearcats. For Sanger, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 victory Pilot Point walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Joe Traill and Angel Morales scored both of Sanger's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Sanger's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Pilot Point, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sanger will take on rival Bonham at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pilot Point is set to face off against their familiar foe Richland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
