Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Florala's Fourth in Last Five Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Opp, Florala was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Emmanuel Christian Warriors get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven matches by 13 runs or more so far this season.

Ayden Brooks was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Laura, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Dawson Reeves was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Florala always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Florala has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. Emmanuel Christian now has a losing record of 2-3.
