Julian Beltran gave up the fewest walks he has since back in March on Thursday. He was unstoppable, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Beltran's effort led Mark Keppel over San Gabriel and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Aztecs are a perfect 9-0 against the Matadors going back to March of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
