Silverton took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against West Albany, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Foxes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Foxes sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Silverton pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs across that stretch. As for West Albany, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.

Silverton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
