            Basketball Recap: Jonesboro Hurricane vs. Bryant Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            On Friday, Jonesboro faced Bryant in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The  game between the Jonesboro Hurricane and the Bryant Hornets didn't end well, with the Jonesboro Hurricane falling  68-50. The  matchup was a  30-30 toss-up at halftime, but the Hurricane couldn't quite close it out.
 Bryant got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kellen Robinson out in front who  posted 19  points in addition to five  rebounds and three  steals. Robinson's evening made it five games in a row in which  he has scored at least 16 points.  Rj Young was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 15 points and nine  boards.
Jonesboro's  defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 22-2. As for Bryant, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the  win, which was their 16th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonesboro will challenge Whitehaven at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Bryant, they will face off against Central at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
