South Lenoir falls despite strong effort from Lexy Heath

The South Lenoir Blue Devils suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 56-25 loss at the hands of Kinston. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat South Lenoir has suffered against Kinston since February 19, 2020.

Despite the loss, South Lenoir still got an impressive performance from Lexy Heath, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Heath grabbed two or more steals.

This is the second loss in a row for South Lenoir and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Kinston, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

South Lenoir will head out on the road to face off against East Duplin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kinston, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Wallace-Rose Hill at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th.
