            Basketball Recap: Franklin Road Christian Minutemen vs. Lancaster Christian Academy Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Franklin Road Christian was the  69-62 winner over Lancaster Christian Academy when they last played one another  last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Franklin Road Christian Minutemen took a hard  70-55 fall against the Lancaster Christian Academy Knights on Saturday.
 Franklin Road Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Pierre DeShields, who  went 6 of 9  to rack up 14  points in addition to six  boards and three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Mason Alcorn, who  went 5 for 9  on his way to 12 points and eight  rebounds.
 Lancaster Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Josh Whitt, who  went 7 of 12  en route to 21  points along with six  assists and five  boards. The  matchup was  Whitt's 15th in a row with at least 16 points.  Anderson Breiner was another key player,  going 6 for 11  to rack up 18 points and six  assists.
Franklin Road Christian's loss dropped their record down to 21-13. As for Lancaster Christian Academy, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-3.
 The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Franklin Road Christian will be playing at home against Christian Community  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Christian Community knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Franklin Road Christian likes a good challenge. As for Lancaster Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Haven Christian  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. South Haven Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.5  points per game  this season.
