Baseball Recap: Hatton Gets the Win

Hatton posted their closest victory since February 18th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brooks Lions, sneaking past 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Lions on Friday, they had to take a 15-12 loss.

Ian Crosslin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Hatton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Brooks' defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Looking ahead, Hatton will square off against Austin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hatton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Brooks, they will challenge Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
