Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Christian School Eagles vs. Midland Christian Mustangs

Southwest Christian School hasn't had much luck against Midland Christian recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 2:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Southwest Christian School's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.

On Friday, Southwest Christian School opened the new year with a less-than-successful 83-70 loss to Trinity Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (64), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midland Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat All S 74-42. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Southwest Christian School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Midland Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.
