Basketball Recap: Ramsey Takes a Loss

Ramsey extended their losing streak to 11 on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-15. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mulberry Grove Aces. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (57), the Rams still had to take the loss.

As for Mulberry Grove, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hagan Henrichsmeyer produced another solid effort putting up 29 points and three steals. His big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Connor Hartmann, who posted 20 points and six rebounds.

Coming up, Mulberry Grove will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. The Aces will be up against the Greyhounds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Ramsey will be paying especially close attention to Mulberry Grove's contest: after Mulberry Grove faces off against Lebanon, they'll take on Ramsey again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
