South Beloit won the last time they faced Christian Liberty and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sobos narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Chargers 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was South Beloit who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-16.

Serena Hoffman paced South Beloit's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hoffman got some help from Macey Lineman and her ten assists. Finally, Hoffman was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

South Beloit is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Christian Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, South Beloit will be playing at home against Winnebago at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christian Liberty, they are taking a road trip to challenge Westlake Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
