After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop McNamara, Clifton Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Watseka Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Sydney Jemar made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Rayven Perkins and Lia Prairie did most of the damage at the plate: Perkins scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Prairie went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits Perkins has posted since back in April of 2024. Keira Donnelly was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
