After a string of eight wins, Hopewell's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Mecklenburg Sabres. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

Hopewell's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for South Mecklenburg, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

When Hopewell and South Mecklenburg next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose.
