Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Meigs). They blew past the Alexander Spartans 17-7 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 last Thursday.

Meigs has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Alexander, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Meigs will take on rival Wellston at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Alexander is set to square off against their familiar foe River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
