Volleyball Game Preview: Estrella Foothills Wolves vs. Agua Fria Owls

Estrella Foothills is 8-2 against Agua Fria since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wolves will host the Owls at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Estrella Foothills has six straight victories, Agua Fria has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Wednesday, Estrella Foothills made easy work of Westview and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Estrella Foothills was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-5, 25-15.

Gabby Coronado and Lily Merefield were among the main playmakers for Estrella Foothills as the former had 12 assists and eight aces and the latter had 19 assists. That's the most assists Merefield has posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Agua Fria came up short against Peoria on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Agua Fria's defeat dropped their record down to 2-26. As for Estrella Foothills, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5-5.
