Soccer Recap: Gaffney Takes a Loss

Gaffney managed to keep up with Eastside until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Gaffney Indians lost 4-0 to the Eastside Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Eagles are ranked 16th).

Gaffney is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1. As for Eastside, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Coincidentally, Gaffney and Eastside will both be playing James F. Byrnes the next time they take the pitch. Gaffney will head out to face James F. Byrnes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Eastside will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th.
