East Valley won the last time they faced Grandview and things went their way on Friday too. The Red Devils blew past the Greyhounds 55-6. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 223rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Braden Albrecht was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 118 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Berg, who threw for 193 yards and three TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to East Valley's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Logan Jones with two. East Valley received some extra help from Jones, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

East Valley has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 9 points this season. As for Grandview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

East Valley has already played their next contest, a 13-7 win against Prosser on the 19th. As for Grandview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-7 defeat against Othello on the 19th.
