While Seymour's victory against Archer City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Seymour sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Archer City on Wednesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Avery Parrish made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Parrish was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

In other batting news, Jaxon Carrington was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Seymour was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Seymour's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-5. As for Archer City, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Seymour will have a chance to go back-to-back against Archer City: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
