Video: MaxPreps Top 10 Plays of the Week

St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) the No. 1 team in the Midwest to end the 2014 season, is the new No. 1 team in that region in this week's MaxPreps High School Football Regional Rankings.

St. Edward defeated Cocoa (Fla.) last week and will take on Mainland (Fla.) this week. La Salle (Cincinnati), the previous No. 1 team in the Midwest, fell to No. 2.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country was broken down into five regions:



West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Midwest: Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.


West
