Baseball Recap: Merrimack Comes Up Short

Merrimack was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Guertin Cardinals. The Tomahawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Merrimack's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Bishop Guertin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

While Merrimack had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
