Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Lancaster's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Lancaster got themselves on the board against Niagara Falls on Tuesday, but Niagara Falls never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 12-0 victory. Considering the Legends have won eight games by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Isabella Dimino, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Ava Konieczny, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lancaster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Lancaster is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Niagara Falls, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.

Lancaster will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolverines: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
