Softball Recap: Henderson County Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Henderson County walked away with it. They never let the Daviess County Panthers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Saturday. Considering the Colonels have won 23 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Henderson County's seventh in a row) raised their record to 33-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Daviess County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 28-6 record.

Henderson County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
