Mount Tabor took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Lake Norman Wildcats, posting a 74-44 win. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 74-53 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Will Koonin went supernova, putting up 37 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Moore, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Lake Norman and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Mount Tabor will be playing in front of their home fans against West Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Norman, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-77 loss against Burlington Christian Academy on the 28th.
