Basketball Recap: Stanton Skates Past Lutheran-Northeast with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Stanton on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Lutheran-Northeast Eagles out of the water with a 61-26 final score. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Stanton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelby Pohlman, who posted 11 points and six boards. Olivia Hupp was another key player, putting up six points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Stanton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lutheran-Northeast still got an impressive performance from Liv Chapman, who earned 14 points.
