Salina Central waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Newton Railroaders by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 on Friday.

Salina Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Newton, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Looking ahead, Salina Central will be playing at home against Andover at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Trojans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Newton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-1 win against Hesston on the 5th.
