Basketball Recap: Seagoville Takes a Loss

Seagoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 52-33 fall against the North Mesquite Stallions. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 41-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Mesquite found their leader in freshman Syniyah Grigsby, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Grigsby has scored at least a third of North Mesquite's points. Haven Crabb was another key player, putting up nine points.

Seagoville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for North Mesquite, they moved to 7-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Seagoville has already played their next contest, a 66-12 win against Samuell on the 13th. As for North Mesquite, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-18 victory against Wilson on the 13th.
