Softball Recap: Greene Central Takes a Loss

Greene Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the J.H. Rose Rampants, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Rampants from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Greene Central's record is now 0-9. As for J.H. Rose, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greene Central will challenge SouthWest Edgecombe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. SouthWest Edgecombe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season. As for J.H. Rose, they will face off against D.H. Conley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. J.H. Rose also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 8.2 runs per game.
