Volleyball Recap: Viewmont Takes Down Ranked Mountain View

Viewmont faced Mountain View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bruins. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Carson Tovey paced Viewmont's offense, picking up 14 kills. Tovey got some help from Dallin Lether and his 29 assists. Thomas MacKay controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Viewmont's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Mountain View, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Viewmont has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Bountiful on the 25th. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Timpanogos on the 25th.
