Simsbury came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Platt Panthers get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three matches by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Simsbury's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Platt, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
