Volleyball Recap: Riverton Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Charlotte Kooreman and Isabelle Eaton

Riverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Copper Hills Grizzlies. The Silverwolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Riverton sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 21-25, 15-13.

Riverton's loss came despite strong showings from Isabelle Eaton and Charlotte Kooreman. Eaton had nine digs and two aces, while Kooreman had 12 digs.

Riverton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Copper Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 8-17.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Riverton will face off against rival Bingham at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Copper Hills is set to challenge their familiar foe Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
