Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Jesuit Falls to SEED in First Game of Season

Cristo Rey Jesuit had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 44-32 to SEED on Wednesday.

SEED's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kahmani Gaither led the charge by putting up 20 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Morgan Jackson, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

With the win, SEED broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

Cristo Rey Jesuit will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on The Gunston School at 4:00 p.m. on February 7, 2025. As for SEED, they will take on Central in a tournament on December 27th. SEED is facing Central at the right time seeing as Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
