Grand Valley won the last time they faced Mathews and things went their way on Thursday too. Grand Valley put the hurt on Mathews with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Grand Valley.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-21.

Rylee Rogers paced Grand Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Rogers got some help from Raegan Williams and her 14 assists. Rogers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Grand Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Mathews, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
