Soccer Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was the 2-0 winner over Hastings when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Redhawks fell just short of the Saxons by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Marshall haven't been shut out since back in April.

Marshall's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Hastings, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-8.

Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Elk Rapids on the 16th. As for Hastings, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Plainwell at 5:30 p.m. Plainwell will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Hastings surely won't give up without a fight.
