Football Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors + Official Tickets

The Lincoln Trojans will head out to challenge the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

If Trinity Christian Academy heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Lincoln took over last week. The Trojans took down Chiles 42-28 on Friday.

Taylor Jacobs Jr produced another solid effort throwing for 239 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 41 yards. His passing game has become a key predictor of Lincoln's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tadarius Huggins, who rushed for 108 yards and one score on only 15 carries.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Lincoln, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kabran Paul, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Christian Academy). They blew past Episcopal School of Jacksonville, posting a 49-7 win. Given the Conquerors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Eagles are ranked 319th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trinity Christian Academy picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Lincoln, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-2.

Lincoln beat Trinity Christian Academy 19-6 when the teams last played back in November of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
