Football Recap: Conemaugh Valley Falls Despite Big Games from Eric Korhut and Xzavior Tatum + How To Watch

Conemaugh Valley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 22-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Shamokin Wolves. The Blue Jays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Conemaugh Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Xzavior Tatum, who threw for 98 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and Eric Korhut, who picked up 87 receiving yards and one score.

West Shamokin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Ryan Booher went supernova, rushing for 34 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 109 yards and one TD. Christian Wilcox helped out on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.

Conemaugh Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-6 defeat against Conemaugh Township on the 24th. As for West Shamokin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-7 loss against Cambria Heights on the 24th.
