Football Recap: Conemaugh Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Conemaugh Valley is still winless after their game against West Shamokin on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 22-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wolves. The Blue Jays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Xzavior Tatum threw for 66 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Eric Korhut was his top target, picking up 87 receiving yards and one TD.

Ryan Booher was a one-man wrecking crew For West Shamokin. as he rushed for 34 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 109 yards and one TD. Christian Wilcox helped out on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.

Conemaugh Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for West Shamokin, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Coming up, Conemaugh Valley will square off against Conemaugh Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Shamokin, they will be playing at home against Cambria Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
