Basketball Recap: Hartford Central Comes Up Short

Hartford Central was the 52-50 winner over Schroon Lake when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Hartford Central Tanagers took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Schroon Lake Wildcats on Monday. The Tanagers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hartford Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Schroon Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Hartford Central will challenge Corinth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Corinth has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Schroon Lake, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Schroon Lake Wildcats duke it out with the Crown Point Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Crown Point knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Schroon Lake likes a good challenge.
