Softball Game Preview: Jones Trojans vs. Bethel Christian Academy Trojans

Jones will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Jones will be strutting in after a win while Bethel Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Jones is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Northside - Jacksonville. Everything went Jones' way against Northside - Jacksonville on Wednesday as Jones made off with a 30-20 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now won six in a row.

Payten Plyler was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero).
