Soccer Recap: Jordan-Matthews Comes Up Short

If Jordan-Matthews was feeling good fresh off their 6-1 takedown of Southern Alamance last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jets fell just short of the Providence Grove Patriots by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. Jordan-Matthews were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Providence Grove apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Jordan-Matthews' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Providence Grove, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan-Matthews will head out to square off against Currituck County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Grove, they will venture away from home to challenge Southeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
