Baseball Recap: Many Farms Comes Up Short

Many Farms was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Pinon Eagles, falling 11-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Friday.

Mathias Yazzie was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Trevor Nez, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one double.

Many Farms' loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Pinon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Many Farms wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-4 defeat against Round Valley on the 16th. As for Pinon, they have also already played their next contest, a 16-5 victory against Greyhills Academy on the 17th.
