Recap: String Theory vs. Boys' Latin Charter
String Theory posted their closest win yet this season on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Boys' Latin Charter 57-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
String Theory got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luca Varallo out in front who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Varallo has scored all season. Jason Pezzetti was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory got String Theory back to even at 7-7. As for Boys' Latin Charter, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. String Theory will take on Maritime Academy Charter at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boys' Latin Charter, they will be playing at home against Academy at Palumbo at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy at Palumbo is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
