Basketball Recap: Montfort Academy Skates Past Greenburgh-North Castle with Ease

Montfort Academy's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Greenburgh-North Castle Knights, posting an 87-54 win. That's more bragging rights for Montfort Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Montfort Academy to victory were Ali Laquerre-Simon and Justin Leathers. Laquerre-Simon posted 22 points, while Leathers had 25 points. Gabe Perez was another key player, putting up 14 points.

The victory got Montfort Academy back to even at 1-1.

Montfort Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New York School for the Deaf at 4:30 p.m. on January 15, 2025. Greenburgh-North Castle will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Woodlands at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
