Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Garden Plain couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Trinity Academy Knights by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Owls' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Garden Plain sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-12, 21-25, 25-15.

Ava Deutsch was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 20 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Garden Plain's defeat dropped their record down to 29-9. As for Trinity Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.
