Recap: Crete-Monee Warriors vs. Lincoln-Way West Warriors
The Crete-Monee Warriors lost against the Lincoln-Way West Warriors back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Crete-Monee took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln-Way West. Crete-Monee has struggled against Lincoln-Way West recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kimora Darby, who scored 5 points along with 4 steals. Darby is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last five games she's played. Morgan Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 19 rebounds.
Crete-Monee has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Lincoln-Way West, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crete-Monee will challenge Kankakee at 6:30 p.m. on December 11th. Kankakee presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Crete-Monee in Illinois (Kankakee is ranked 79th, while Crete-Monee is ranked 374th). As for Lincoln-Way West, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln-Way Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln-Way Central will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
