Volleyball Recap: Banks County Takes a Loss

Banks County was the 2-0 winner over Athens Academy when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Leopards took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Saturday. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ella Langford paced Banks County's offense, picking up ten kills. Langford got some help from Kimber Meister and her 24 assists.

Athens Academy can attribute much of their success to Riley Harding, who had 12 digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Harding a new career-high.

Banks County's loss dropped their record down to 21-13. As for Athens Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record this season.

Banks County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Athens Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Providence Christian Academy on the 6th.
