Basketball Recap: Waynesburg Central Comes Up Short

Waynesburg Central was the 68-52 winner over Ligonier Valley when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Waynesburg Central Raiders took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ligonier Valley Rams on Monday. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Waynesburg Central and nudges their season record down to 8-11. As for Ligonier Valley, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waynesburg Central has already played their next game (against Mt. Carmel Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ligonier Valley will face off against Charleroi at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
